Freshman

This year was just a begining for me. First time being in the real workouts, first time racing in the real races, no more of the short middle school boys and girls races. I really started here, I was able to run with the first people to really make this team become nationally noticed. That was awesome for me to see and it really inspired me to be that much more of a better runner. Also during this year I broke the Freshman Records at my school in the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m.

Sophmore

This year I was really apart of the Varsity team. For cross country I was mainly 6th guy, but sometimes 5th. I really was able to learn a lot from all of the seniors and really connect with them. We took Region and State and I metaled in some of the races which was kind of a new thing for me. Then, in track I was one of the top 4 distance guys on the team and was scoring points every race. I really improved on my times, but not enough to get any class or school records. But, I did individually win a race and that was awesome. I qualified for the 3200m and 1600m at state and took 3rd and 5th. And it was really a good improvement from last year.

4 miles today. I caught a cold this weekend and didn't feel good at all. Felt terrible after 2 miles but I had the great idea of doing an out and back so I had 2 miles left.

3 miles this morning.

This afternoon we started with some calisthenics then 2 mile warmup, some strides, then went into the mile repeats with 400m recovery in between. Today I was still feeling the cold from yesterday, and I didn't feel too bad but I didn't feel great either. The first one was 5:12, the second one was 5:20, and the third was even slower than the second one but I didn't get the time. Coach had me call it there. So I jogged around until The rest of the guys were ready to do 3x300m. After that we had 1 mile cool down. Weights and stretching afterwards.

And 4 miles this afternoon to hidden valley just went my own pace and I just felt really good, a lot better than Monday.

4 miles super easy this morning. Ran out towards the golf course.

And an optional 4 miles in the afternoon, I also took it easy hoping to get over whatever sickness I've been having.

Ran out by the Dixie center today. .5 mile warmup, and 3.5 out and 3.5 back with the last 2 miles all out really. I kept up wit josh and Jaiden and felt the best I've felt in like 3 weeks.

Today was also preference so for the date we hiked out to a spot so we could play some sand volleyball and climb a mountain.
