Freshman

This year was just a begining for me. First time being in the real workouts, first time racing in the real races, no more of the short middle school boys and girls races. I really started here, I was able to run with the first people to really make this team become nationally noticed. That was awesome for me to see and it really inspired me to be that much more of a better runner. Also during this year I broke the Freshman Records at my school in the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m.

Cross Country

Track

800m PR : 2:06 (Dixie Invitational)

1600m PR :  4:36 (Desert Hills Invitational)

3200m PR :  9:52 (Pine View Invitational)

Sophmore

This year I was really apart of the Varsity team. For cross country I was mainly 6th guy, but sometimes 5th. I really was able to learn a lot from all of the seniors and really connect with them. We took Region and State and I metaled in some of the races which was kind of a new thing for me. Then, in track I was one of the top 4 distance guys on the team and was scoring points every race. I really improved on my times, but not enough to get any class or school records. But, I did individually win a race and that was awesome. I qualified for the 3200m and 1600m at state and took 3rd and 5th. And it was really a good improvement from last year.

800m PR : 2:02 (Desert Hills Distance Carnival)

1600m PR : 4:27 (Desert Hills Invitational)

Top 5 at State Track 3200m

Top 7 at State Track 1600m

800m: 1:57

Long-Term Running Goals:

State Champion in XC and in Track!

Beat the Freshman, Sophmore, Junior, Senior School 1600m, 3200m, and 800m Records.

3 miles in the morning. Legs still a little stiff from Saturday.

Tough workout today in the heat and wind. 4x1200m, 3x300m, and 4x100m. In the 1200m we had a 800m split then went AO in the last 400m. 300m we hit a 52's. In the 100m we didn't time them but they felt like we were going so fast that we could have raced Usain Bolt.

7 miles in the afternoon, 2 mile warmup, 10x400m didn't really hit my times 71, 70, 70, 68, 68, 69, 68, 67, 66. 4x100m starts to help me and the worst part of my racing. 1 mile cooldown. Hit the weight room afterwards.

4 miles at PV Track warming up and cooling down with the different teammates during the races. Super excited for tomorrow but super nervous though.

2 mile warmup. Started the race and felt really good, hit the splits that I wanted. Hit about 1:15's until the last 2 laps went just under 1:15 then on the last lap hit 1:07. Broke the Class Record and qualified for state!
